A memorial service was held here today for all soldiers whose place of burial is unknown. The day–the seventh of Adar–is the anniversary of the death of Moses, whose own grave site is unknown. At the ceremony at the Central Military Cemetery, a monument was unveiled in memory of the 69 crew members of the Israeli submarine Dakar, which vanished without a trace in the eastern Mediterranean in 1968. Attending the ceremony, in addition to the bereaved families, were Knesset Speaker Reuven Barkatt, acting president in the absence of Zalman Shazar; Premier Golda Meir, and hundreds of other mourners.
