The Miami 1946 allocation to the United Jewish Appeal has been fixed at $500,000, which is three times the amount contributed by Miami to the U.J.A. in 1945. A major factor in the successful campaign was the Miami Beach hotel industry which contributed $200,000–seven times the amount received from the group last year.
