Michael Pelavin, former chairman of the National Jewish Community Relations Advisory Council, died last Friday at age 64. From 1986 to 1989, he served as chairman of the organization, which is now known as the Jewish Council for Public Affairs. Pelavin was also a prominent figure at Mazon: A Jewish Response to Hunger.
