The Ministry for Trade and Industry has approved the initiation of 70 new industrial projects to cost $40,000,000 and to employ 10,000 workers, Dr. Fritz Bern-stein, Minister for Trade and Industry, announced at a press conference here. Most of the plants will manufacture items which have never been produced in Israel before.
Bernstein also announced that a new industrial center, costing $60,000,000, will be erected in the Haifa Bay area on some 12,500 acres. The project will be named the Kishon Administration, for the Kishon River which empties into the Mediterranean Sea at Haifa.
