President Anastas Mikoyan, of the Soviet Union, today assured President Nasser of Egypt that “the Arabs in general can always rely on our support,” according to Moscow dispatches received here today.
Mr. Mikoyan also lauded Egypt as “an active force in the international arena for peace and progress.” The Soviet Chief of State voiced his pledge after Nasser issued a new denunciation of the United States, condemning especially American policy in Viet Nam.
