Missionaries, politicians and others may knock on doors without getting permission from local authorities, the Supreme Court ruled. In an 8-1 decision Monday, the justices agreed with the Jehovah’s Witnesses group, which maintained that being required to apply for a permit before spreading their religious message was unconstitutional.
