The policemen asked for reinforced patrols and better pay. Within the past month, there has been a spate of bomb scares in various cities and aborted attacks on certain Embassy residences. The bride-to-be was the daughter of the chairman of the Jewish National Fund in Amsterdam, Simon G. Engelsman.
