More than 2000 policemen demonstrated in The Hague several days ago to protest the increased bomb scares, letter bombs and the greater risks Dutch police are being asked to take. The policemen asked for reinforced patrols and better pay. Within the past month, there has been a spate of bomb scares in various cities and aborted attacks on certain Embassy residences. A fake bomb was discovered last Tuesday here in front of the El Al office. On Saturday night police arrested three young Dutch men on suspicion of having placed a fake bomb at a Jewish wedding party. The bride-to-be was the daughter of the chairman of the Jewish National Fund in Amsterdam, Simon G. Engelsman.
