More than 20,000 people are expected to attend Monday night the 38th annual “Night of Stars,” the United Jewish Appeal benefit show at Madison Square Garden, Speakers will include Louis Pincus, chairman of the Jewish Agency; Samuel Hausman, general chairman of the Agency; and Sen. Jacob K, Javits (R.,N.Y.). Abba Eban, Israel’s Foreign Minister, who had been scheduled to attend, wired his regrets that he would be unable to attend due to last minute complications. Proceeds of the affair will aid the UJA program of refugee relief and Israel resettlement.
