More than 40 U.S. lawmakers signed a letter asking the European Union to cut ties with Hamas. The letter, written by Reps. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) and Steve Rothman (D-N.J.), is a response to the E.U.’s decision to conduct low-level talks with the organization, designated a terrorist group by the United States and the European Union.
