Sensational reports in the Palestinian press added a new angle to the Wailing Wall question which continues to agitate the public mind.

It is claimed that when the Sultan of Morocco purchased the property surrounding the wall, he dedicated it to the whole Mcroccan community in Jerusalem, which includes the Moroccan Jews. A group of Moroccan Jews living in Jerusalem have now put in a claim for a part of the area. The service of a noted Arab lawyer was engaged by the group to press its claim.
