Mortars fired at a Gaza Strip settlement killed an Israeli woman. Hamas claimed responsibility for the mortar attack last Friday on the Neveh Dekalim settlement in the Gaza Strip. One of the three mortars fired struck a home in the settlement mortally wounding 24-year-old Tiferet Tratner, who was visiting the settlement. Israel shut down areas under its control in the West Bank and Gaza on the eve of Yom Kippur.
