Moshe Duchovny, a leading Yiddish newspaperman and novelist, died suddenly at his home here today. He was 59.
Born in Russia, Mr. Duchovny was educated in that country and, later, in Palestine. He came to the United States in 1918 and joined the staff of the Morning Journal. When the latter newspaper was merged with the present Jewish Day-Morning Journal, he joined the staff of the fused daily. In addition to his newspaper work, he also headed the Yiddish publicity staff for the Israel Bond organization.
