A denial that Sir Oswald Mosley’s British Union of Fascists was anti – Semitic was made by A. K. Chesterton, official of the organization, in a letter to the Western Evening Herald.
“Stupid little bits of paper with unflattering references to the Jews do not emanate from our organization,” he wrote, “but from a small and very rabid bunch of anti-Semites.
“Our propaganda methods remain the same as they have ever been—the persuasion of the electorate.”
