Most Canadians believe a Middle East peace is possible, but a substantial number have no opinion on the matter, according to the Gallup Poll of Canada. A new study by the organization indicates that 44 percent of the populace believes peace is possible, 30 percent does not and 26 percent cannot say. Asked what concessions, if any, Israel should make, 27 percent of those questioned said she should return most of the occupied Arab territories, retaining only Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip; 18 percent said she should return only a small portion of the territories or none at all; 16 percent said she should give back all of the captured land, and 39 percent were undecided.
