Funeral services were held Friday for Mrs. Jane Braz Fischel, wife of Harry Fischel, real estate operator, at her late residence, 70 East Eightieth street. Rabbi Joseph Loo##st#n officiated, assisted by the Rev. Dr. Bernard Burak of Yeshiva College.
Following the services the cortege stopped for two minutes in front of Synagogue Jeshurun while a prayer was recited and then continued to Union Field Cemetery.
Mrs. Fischel was eulogized for her work in Jewish philanthropy and in the women’s suffrage movement by Judge Otto A. Rosalsky, Rev. Moses Hyamson and others. Representatives of almost every Jewish institution in the city were present at the services.
