Mrs. Ida Ratnoff Dies at Age of Seventy-six

Mrs. Ida Finger Ratnoff, died at the age of seventy-six at the Beth Israel Hospital, where her son, Dr. Nathan Ratnoff is medical director.

She is survived by two other sons, Dr. Hyman L. and Charles Ratnoff, and a daughter, Mrs. Sarah Pomerantz.

For the first time in the history of Allentown, Pa., a Jew was named to head the annual Community Chest campaign.

The honor fell this week to Henry B. Friedman, well known lawyer and president of the Jewish Community Center, who was elected as president of the Community Chest unanimously. He succeeds General Frank D. Beary.

Attorney Friedman has been active in numerous fields in this city.
