Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt was selected by the board of judges of the American Hebrew Medal Award Committee, as the 1948 recipient of the annual medal bestowed upon the person deemed to have done most during the year to promote better understanding between Christians and Jews in America, it was announced here today by Joseph H, Biben, editor and publisher of the American Hebrew magazine.
