The ex-Mufti of Jerusalem has seized upon the conference of Arab Foreign Ministers opening in Alexandria tonight to resume active large-scale participation in Palestine and Middle East politics, it was reported today.
The Mufti yesterday conferred for several hours with Abdul Rahman Azzam Bey, secretary-general of the Arab League, on Palestine questions and today saw Jamal Husseini, the deputy chairman of the Palestine Arab Higher Committee, of which the Mufti is the titular head. They are understood to have discussed the foreign ministers meeting, which will be devoted exclusively to Palestine.
