Two former Nazi police officers were acquitted here this weekend of charges of having assisted in the 1939 mass murder of 350 intellectuals in central Poland, many of them Jews. The court said there was insufficient evidence to convict the men, Jakob Loglen, 69, and Horst Eichler, 55.
