Murderers of Jews of Constantinople Get Reduced Prison Terms

A prison term of 30 years at hard labor was imposed upon Nazim, found guilty of the murder of two Jewish peddlers, Abram Ben Yokar and Isaar Eskojido, when the case came up on appeal here. He was previously sentenced to life imprisonment, but as he is under 21, the sentence was commuted to a term of 24 years.

Tevfik an accomplice to the murder, as sentenced to 10 years imprisonment. The lower court had imposed a sentence of 15 years imprisonment.

The sentence of 10 years imprisonment imposed on Emince, the sister of the murdorer, a girl of 13, who amed as a decoy, calling the peddlers into the house where they were killed, was permitted to stand by the appeal court.

One thousand persons attended the funeral on Monday of the late One E. Drypoos. a truster and associate measurer of Temple Emanu-El, who died on Sunday. Dr. Samuel Schulman officiated at the services.

The honorary pali-heaurers were the trustees of Temple Emanu-El and the former Temple Reth-El. and included Louis Marshall, president of the board of trustees Temple Emanu-El; Ren Althaimer, vice-presidents; Hanry M.Toch, treasturer; William I. Spiegelberg, secretary, and the following members; Hanry J. Rernheim. Davis Brown, Philip J. Goadhar: Sidney H. Herman, Irving Lehman, Benjamin Mordecai, Samuel M. Newburger, Adolph S. Ochs, Edward Schafer, Roger W, Straus, Ludwig Vogelstein and Arthor Zinn; also the following former Temple Reth-EI trustees; Dawid Dinkelspiel, Jacob L. Frankel. Carl Rosenberges, Josoph Leblang, Franz H. Hirschland, Mak Kalter, Leopold Stern, Myron Sulzberger, Snul Routstein, David M. Bressler and Mrs. William Klingenstein.

The funeral correge proceeded to Both-EI Cemerry, where the body was placed in the family mausoleum.
