The 44th annual campaign of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies which will seek to raise a building fund of $104,365,000 as well as $22,500,000 for the day-to-day operations of its 116 agencies, was launched here tonight at a dinner at which Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare Abraham Ribocoff was principal speaker.
Some 2,000 persons attending the dinner also heard addresses by Senator Jacob K. Javits and Mayor Robert F. Wagner. The current Federation campaign is the largest voluntary philanthropic effort ever to be attempted in New York City.
