Prof. Ernst Casserer, philosopher and interpreter of the philosophic aspect of Prof. Albert Einstein’s theories was named rector of the University of Hamburg. He is the first Jewish university rector in Germany.

Professor Casserer is fifty-five years old. He was a pupil of Herman Cohen.
