National Council of Jewish Women Backs “free Ports” Project in Wire to Roosevelt

The National Council of Jewish Women today endorsed the demand for the establishment of “free ports” for refugees in a telegram sent to president Roosevelt. The Council said that such action by the United States “would furnished an encouraging example for other nations to follow.”
