The 1962 Jewish Welfare Appeal announced today it had received a contribution from a national Negro organization which was believed to be the first contribution to the Jewish welfare campaign by a Negro group.
The Cleveland chapter of Links, a civic and social Negro group, presented a check to Julius Paris, special gifts cochairman of the campaign. The amount of the contribution was not disclosed.
