The formation of a nationalist Zionist student group has been announced. The group, Zeirei Herut, is to be part of the United Zionist-Revisionists of America but will work independently on campuses, Zeirei Herut is designed to bring students together, coordinate their activities, and provide a central source of educational and other materials.
The new group plans to carry on both campus and community based activities to promote the Zionist Revisionist program: democratization of the Jewish community, raising of Jewish national consciousness through education and free discussion, aliya, and an Israel based on social justice and traditional Jewish values, an Israel that will include the liberated territories.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
