Kurt Schupke, former commander of the German concentration camps in Plaszow, Sanok, Zaslaw and Rzeszow, was sentenced to death today by the War Crimes Court in Krakow for participating in the execution of thousands of Jewish camp inmates.

Meanwhile, the Central Jewish Committee is considering numerous charges against Jew accused of working with the Germans during the war. Henrik Kleinman, a Jew from Plonsk, was recently accused of being a Gestapo informer in his home town during 1941-1942. From 1942 to 1945 he served as a camp policeman in Oswiecim and, after the war, left the Jewish fold and was converted to Christianity. The Central Committee ordered Kleinman excommunicated from the Jewish faith and his case was turned over to the government authorities.
