It’s pretty bad when Nazis are reduced to engaging Jewish drill-masters.

The Student, City College undergraduate publication, will reveal in its first issue today that Leonard William Rockawer, a Jewish officer in the College’s Reserve Officers Training Corps, has received a letter from the Friends of New Germany requesting him to act as drill-master for the “Friends.”

When first questioned, Rockawer, according to The Student said he couldn’t understand why they approached him because he is “one hundred per cent Hebrew.” Later, Rockawer is reported to have denied receipt of such a missive.
