Taking cognizance of efforts being made by Jews in London to have cancelled a scheduled football
match between English and German teams, the Voelkischer Beobachter today warned the London Jews to discontinue their campaign and “advised” the police of that city to halt their activities in that connection.
The Beobachter, principal Nazi party organ and personal property of Reichsfuehrer Hitler, charges the campaign against the international match is being conducted by “Jews and the underworld.”
The publication reports that placards have been displayed “in a dirty Jewish section of East London,” urging the population to prevent the game.
“The Jews in London will hire the entire underworld to make this game impossible,” the Beobachter concludes, and therefore appeals to the police to intervene “before hell breaks loose.”
