Nazi newspapers today hailed the anti-Semitic demonstration of 280,000 members of the Rumanian National Christian Party in Bucharest Sunday as a triumph for Nazi propaganda abroad.
Propaganda Minister Goebbels’ newspaper, Der Angriff, featured a report stating that “only a year ago it was impossible even to imagine that so many swastika banners would fly over the Rumanian capital.”
Other newspapers, expressing elation over the march, the greatest anti-Semitic demonstration in Rumania’s history, urged a German alliance with the Rumanian Fascist leaders. They featured addresses of Prof. Alexander Cuza and Prof. Octavius Goga, Rumanian Fascist leaders.
