Attempting to create the impression among the people in Arab countries that Turkey is about to collaborate with the Nazis, the Berlin radio today broadcast a false report in Arabic that “more than 2,000 Jews have fled from Turkey during the last two days in expectation of a change in the Turkish attitude in the present conflict.”

The report is ridiculed in Turkish circles here as the usual Nazi propaganda. “It belongs to the same category of Nazi lies as the broadcast from Berlin which reported that on St Patrick’s Day the Irish parade in New York was converted into a huge anti-Jewish demonstration,” a Turkish diplomat here said.
