The Nazi authorities in occupied Norway today announced the execution of Hillel Louis Feinsilber, a Norwegian Jew, charged with attempting to cross the border from Norway into Sweden. This is the first case of a Norwegian citizen being executed for violating the Nazi order forbidding Norwegians from fleeing to Sweden. Hitherto, only those attempting to escape to England were executed.
