Nazis in Gabes Loot Banks of 1,200,000 Francs Belonging to Jews

Nazi officers in the city of Gabes, Tunisia, recently wrested from the Germans by Gen. Montgomery’s forces, looted three banks there of 1,200,000 francs belonging to Jews before fleeing the city, the London radio reported today.

The Nazis forced the bank directors to surrender their books and prepare a list of all Jewish depositors, They then took the total amount belonging to Jews in bank notes.
