Nazis Put Synagogue to Torch, Fine Jews

After Nazis had set fire to a synagogue in the Polish township of Wloclavek, the Gestapo accused the Jews of ” provocation” and imposed a $20,000 fine on the Jewish community, arresting 50 prominent Jews pending payment, it was reported here today.
