The technical commission in charge of the leather and clothing industries is considering elimination from Jewish establishments of “Aryan” mannequins under 45 years of age, Der Angriff reports, suggesting that the rule be extended to cover all female help.

The proposed ban represents an extension into commerce of the Nuremberg marriage and citizenship laws of 1935. While in the case of mannequins only a few would be rendered workless, extension to all “Aryan” women would seriously affect the general employment situation.

An “Aryan” partner has taken over the direction of the private Jewish banking firm, Ernst Wertheimer of Frankfurt.
