Benjamin R. Epstein, national director of the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith, said here today that virulent anti-Israel and anti-Jewish propaganda put out by the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestine Arab Delegation is disseminated in the U.S.A. by two racist organizations, the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) and the white supremacist National States Rights Party. Speaking before the ADL’s national executive committee, Mr. Epstein displayed copies of the SNCC’s newsletter and the states rights party organ, “Thunderbolt,” which showed the same “word-for-word” dependence on Arab propaganda material against Jews, Zionism and Israel, although the white and Negro groups are “polar opposites.”
Mr. Epstein said that the SNCC newsletter “parroted whole sections of a 1966 Palestine Liberation Organization diatribe produced in Lebanon” while the “Thunderbolt” reproduced whole paragraphs from a Palestine Arab Delegation polemic issued last July 14. Both Arab organizations are registered with the U.S. Government as agents for foreign powers under regulations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
