All Jewish taxi-drivers in Budapest have been deprived of their licenses as part of the intensified anti-Jewish program which the Hungarian authorities are carrying out in all branches of economic life, it was reported here today from Hungary.
The report enumerates a series of new anti-Jewish measures which have been introduced in Hungary in the course of the last fortnight. They include: 1. An order issued to the chambers of commerce throughout Hungary instructing them to dismiss their Jewish employees within three months; 2. An order prohibiting Jews to sell meat, or to buy cattle; 3. An order barring Jews from fairs; 4. An order forbidding Jews to purchase grain from peasants; 5. An order not to admit Jewish patients into municipal hospitals, this restriction to be limited temporarily to the Hungarian-occupied part of Transylvania.
