The formation of a new Austrian cabinet under former Chief of Police Schober, was welcomed by the Jewish population here.
The members of this cabinet are known not to have an unfavorable attitude toward the Jews. Among the members are former President Hainisch, who holds the portfolio of the Ministry of Commerce, Herr Redlich, who is of Jewish origin, holding the portfolio of the Ministry of Finance, and Dr. Innitzer, holding the portfolio of Social Welfare. Herr Redlich is now in America.
