The Rev. G. F. Graham-Brown, the Principal of Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, has been appointed by the Archbishop of Canterbury as Anglican Bishop in Jerusalem in succession to the late Eishop Rennie MacInnes, who died in December.

The new Bishop was in Palestine during the 1929 disturbances with the students of Wycliffe Hall, who played an important part in the defence of Jerusalem against the rioters, earning the gratitude of the Jewish population.
