A new B’nai B’rith district covering continental Europe was formally installed at Basic this week-end at a ceremony presided over by Rabbi Leo Baeck former Chief Rabbi of Berlin and currently head of the World Union for Progressive Union who presented the charter of the new lodge to Dr. Edwin Guggenheim its new president This is the first new B’nai B’rith district to be organized in Europe in more than two decades.
