A reliable report received here from Ankara today discloses that the new Italian Foreign Minister, Raffaele Guariglia, has maintained constant and friendly contacts with the Jews of Italy.

That his interest in the Jews may be purely opportunistic is indicated by the Ankara report which adds that when queried on his attitude towards Zionism one time, he allegedly replied: “I am uninterested in Zionism, but if all the Jews are interested and I will thus be able to gain Jewish support, I’ll start studying the problem.”
