Jews employed uninterruptedly in the state service since August 1, 1914, should not be dismissed from their posts according to an order of the Ministries of the Interior and Finance circulated yesterday among Government institutions, communities, state bank and railways. The order applies to officials, other employees and laborers.
Although this order spells relief to but a very small number of Jews concerned, it is nevertheless important because private firms too, will undoubtedly follow the example set by the Government. The order comes as an official interpretation and clarification of the new labor law announced last week.
