The Jewish Federation of New Orleans and the New Orleans Jewish Welfare Fund will be consolidated into a Jewish Welfare Federation of New Orleans.
The plan, which has been under consideration since 1954, has been approved by the board of directors of each agency and will be submitted to the members of the agencies at a joint meeting early next month for ratification.
