New York Home for Aged Jews Gets $1, 250, 000 “living Legacy”

The Home for Aged and Infirm Hebrews of New York, an affiliate of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York, announced today receipt of a “living legacy” of at least $1, 250, 000 from Miss Amy Frank for the building of a pavilion to house 100 to 125 elderly people. The Home announced that it will begin work on the pavilion on the basis of an “irrevocable” clause in Miss Frank’s will which guarantees this sum after her death. Miss Frank is a member of a prominent Pittsburgh steel family.
