Mayor Vincent Impellitteri today issued a proclamation designating the week of April 13to 20 as ”Israel’s Fifth Independence Week” in New York City. At a ceremony attended by Henry Morgenthau, Jr., at City Hall, the Mayor called on the people of the city to support and encourage Israel by purchasing State of Israel Bonds.
