New York real estate developer Abe Hirschfeld and an Israeli settler leader called for a joint Israeli-Palestinian state. Hirschfeld, 84, joined Yitzhak Pendrus, mayor of the West Bank settlement Beitar Illit, in urging a state led by an Israeli prime minister and a Palestinian deputy prime minister.
