The ban on the circulation of “Gentleman’s Agreement,” – best-selling novel dealing with social anti-Semitism in the U.S., – from New York City’s public school libraries has been rescinded, it was announced here today by the Board of Superintendents. The book was originally barred ostensibly on the ground that it contains passages concerning extramarital relations.
