Uri Tzevi Greenberg, the noted Israeli poet, has been awarded this year’s literary prize of the Institute of Hebrew Studies at New York University, it was announced here today by Prof. Abraham I. Katsh, head of the Institute, and Dr. Israel N. Biderman, secretary of the Judges Committee. The award, established in 1863 by the Irving and Bertha Newman Foundation, consists of a scroll of honor and $1,000.
