Nine hundred members of the Israeli civil service, a majority of them holding American citizenship, were ordered today to comply immediately with the law restricting civil service employment to Israel citizens–or consider themselves fired. “Exceptional” cases will be given special consideration, or placed under individual contracts, if their jobs were found irreplaceable by Israeli citizens.
