No Deaths Among Managua Jews

There were no deaths among the several hundred Jews living in Managua, Nicaragua, during the recent earthquake although their synagogue was destroyed along with most of their possessions, the American Jewish Committee reported today. Sergio Nudeistejer, director of the Committee’s Mexican Office, in formed the national headquarters here that a Jewish Central American delegation had gone to Nicaragua to assist quake victims.

Menachem Beigin, leader of the Herut party was unanimously elected chairman of its Executive Committee Sunday night.
