There is no place in Canada for Fascism, Communism or any other “ISM,” a B’nai B’rith banquet was told here last night by Attorney General Gordon D. Conant.

An audience of 1,200, gathered for the 86th convention of B’nai B’rith District I, heard Mr. Conant describe Canada as a land of liberty where there was no place “for any class or race yielding allegiance to any government or any King other than our own king George.” Mr. Conant added: “Every race, denomination and class in our country are free to speak and to act as they see fit. There never will be persecution or class distinction here.”

Isadore Markus of Toronto was elected president.
